In 1832 a cotton gin was built next to an 80-foot waterfall in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. In the 1850’s, a stone gristmill was also built.

With lack of usage, the wooden mill has since been lost to time. While the slate roof of the stone mill has fallen in, the walls remain today.

The Gristmill Lawn sits at the base of the waterfall and accommodates larger weddings up to 300 people.  This is a beautiful Outdoor Wedding site with nature and history surrounding you! It is the Historic Venue you have been looking for.
